The concept of New Leaf began when two parents, Allison and Lili, found themselves asking a difficult question: where could their children go after graduating from the child-led ABA preschool, Unfurling Littles?

Their children, each with very different support needs, thrived in an environment that honored autonomy and nurtured individual values and interests. Wanting to continue that kind of education, they approached Maggie, founder and director of Unfurling Littles, in search of similar elementary school options in the Philadelphia area.

Together, they came to a striking realization: no existing schools fully embraced these same principles.

From that point forward, the three set out on a shared journey - to create a school not only for their own children, but for all young learners who deserve an education grounded in respect, individuality, and meaningful support.
